New 8hands version - alpha 0.8.094

Hello all! How is year 2008 treating you?

We have just released a new build which fixed a CPU and memory bug that caused 8hands to slow down some systems.

If you are running 8hands at the moment, our hot-update will upgrade you to the new version. If you have 8hands installed, just start it and watch the magic happens!

If you don't have 8hands at all, the new build, alpha version 0.8.094 is now available to download.

So what are you waiting for? Let 8hands take control of your social life!

Hello lovely alpha 8hands users!

We have just released a light update to brighten your holiday weekend.

The following changes are in the new build, alpha version 0.8.089:

8hands has moved to better! faster! stronger! servers in order to fully support our rapidly growing community.
Enhanced Performance
Improved Security

To start using the new version, you'll need to either restart your 8hands, or grab the new update here.

Hold your breath! we are about to release a new update for our little wonder octopus. Therefore the 8hands servers will have to go down for about an hour or so, but we can assure you it will be worth it!

A light update of 8hands has just been released! (alpha version 0.8.078)

We have improved scalability, greatly reduced memory usage, and fixed many bugs.

If the auto-update doesn't start by the time you read this, please restart your 8hands. If you encounter any problems or bugs on 8hands, please let us know!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you loyal alpha users for sending us your comments and feedback. It really means a lot to us!

Question: Jeff is my friend on Flickr. How can I know if he's also on Facebook?

Answer: Because 8hands is a cross community platform, it organizes all of your friends' various online profiles into one place. So, if Jeff is your Flickr friend, you can use 8hands to discover his other online profiles.

To use this fun feature just click on one of your 8hands friends' thumbnails and a side-drawer will open up. You will see all of your friend's social network icons; by clicking on a logo, you will be taken to the corresponding profile.
