I've just installed a fresh copy of Windows xpsp2(heb), with all updates, and some software (Actually, i only use windows as a guest OS on a Linux box (via a virtualization software), not that it should matter.
anyway, i got a message that the file msvcr71.dll is missing.
i guess that all of yore developers have it on they're machines, but average windows users like me, don't always have this file.
2)register to the forum.
I've registered with my desired user name, but misspelled my email.

i was informed that i can't install the software because i don't run windows xp.
how about canceling that line of code that checks for OS so even Linux users can give it a try (assuming no other technically problems will show up)
i know, it's kind of a big thing to change and there is no real reason to, but it can be
