Can't add Myspace location

I can't add a Myspace location. I enter the email and password to my Myspace account and it just says:

 

"8hands has encountered a problem processing the location

Please contact 8hands support" 

 

So that's what I'm doing :-)

 

I have added Twitter and Flickr no problem, it's only with Myspace that I have this problem

 

Any ideas?

I'm getting the same message
I'm getting the same message when I try to add my Facebook account. Twitter, Flickr & MySpace worked just fine but I've tried Facebook a few times over the last day,always with the same "problem processing location" thing.

Hi,

 

We were aware of several Facebook issues that occured during the weekend, but we fixed them and Facebook & 8hands seems to be working now. 

 

Can I get more info on the MySpace error?

OK, I have two Myspace accounts, one I am able to add, the other not. The one which I cannot add has a login which is 20 characters long, and the password is 12 characters long but does contain a special character - are there some restrictions on what characters can be in a password?  The character is a currency symbol.

Yes, you have a problem with Myspace passwords. I have changed mine to a shorter one with no £ sign and it's now added it.

Password with special character

problems with flickr and myspace
I also have problems with adding my flickr and myspace accounts. It gives me the same error message: "8hands has encountered a problem processing the location Please contact 8hands support" What's wrong? :-)

Are you using the US version of MySpace? Or a Localized version of MySpace?

same problem here... one works, one not... the one that works is in US version the "bad one" localized... (german) where to change?

Hi,

 

As for now, 8hands will only work with the US version of MySpace and Flickr. We are sorry, but localized versions are not supported yet. We are aware of that issue and we are working on it.

 

Hopefully we will fix the problem in one of our future versions.

"non-English"
You should change your FAQ on MySpace so that it says it won't work with non-American versions of MySpace and Flickr, rather than non-English. I'm using the English versions- as in from England- and not getting anywhere. That's a frustrating error. --d

Hi,

 

We have added it to our FAQ, and until we will add support for non English versions of MySpace and Flickr we will also change the error message in the application, so it will let you know exactly what the problem is - this tiny thing should be out in our next update.
