8hands Featured Ghetto Superstars: Bangers and Cash
It's hard not to adore Spank Rock. There's something about him that can appeal everyone - from the indie kids to the gangsta rappers. On his last year's booty-movin' album, "YoYoYoYoYo", he made hip-hop anthem's that you could hear in an "Entourage" episode or in a Sophia Coppola's film. Dumb and hyphy attitude? You betcha. Intelligent sub-contest? Of course. And now he is back. Not that he had ever really left, but in the last couple of weeks he is everywhere, promoting he's new project Bangers and Cash.
Bangers and Cash are Spank Rock and 19 years old producer Benny Blanco. Their brand new EP is dropping tomorrow, and a few of it's tracks are already on Spank Rock's MySpace profile. It's hot as it can be, and as filthy as possible. Spank rock is so incredibly self aware that songs like like "Bitch" or "Shake That", with all of their nastiness, can be mistaken for a post-bling-bling intellectual thing - but really, it could be just great music about living the good life. Oh... and what do you know? There is also a line about us in one of the songs: "8hands is nothing but a hoochy mama". Ok... not really... I lied.

8hands Featured Artist: Uffie
It’s hard to admit such a cliché, but we love young girls who act trashy, talk dirty and leave us drooling. Anna-Catherine Hartley, which some people also know as Uffie, is just that kind of girl. She was born in Miami, spent most of her childhood years in Hong Kong, and moved to Paris by the age of 15.
These days she is one of the most exciting things you can find in the French electronic scene. She is only 19, she is ridiculously beautiful and she makes sure that everything will go her way: Diplo, Mr. Oizo, Feadz & Justice fell for her charm and let her do her spoken word / hip hop thing over their bits.
You gotta check her out – she is even cuter than our little octopus.
