downloadsquad.com declares 8hands as "almost perfect"!
Our little purple octopus is all blushy now, because the great known and respected downloadsquad.com (that's us giving love back in an obvious and cute way) decided to give us some very kind words, calling 8hands an "Almost perfect desktop client for all your social networks" and emphasizing that "For a public alpha, 8hands is already a pretty darn good solution for anyone who spends all day logged into multiple social networking sites".
To them we say a huge whopping thank you! But let us assure you that we will not rest and we will not stop! We will only continue to make 8hands even better, because we believe that you all deserve a full solution for the mess that we like to call our online social life.
For now, all we can offer you is the current "almost perfect" alpha version. Download it here for free.
G4TV sprinkled 8hands with love!
G4TV is not just one of the biggest tech broadcast networks, it's also one of our favorite places to visit when we are thirsty for some geeky television time. That's why we were so happy and honored to see a feature about 8hands in Attack of the Show. Yes – our cute fuzzy little octopus is slowly gaining his celebrity status!
We won't say much more. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words and a video is worth, like, a billion pictures, so we'll just let you watch the video. Respect.
Use 8hands to monitor multiple social networks!
We love it when such a cool and creative people like Warren Ellis find the 8hands concept useful and helpful.
Warren Ellis, is a sarcastic-talented British author of comics (Transmetropolitan, Global Frequency, Fell, Iron Man), novels (Crooked Little Vein), television (Dead Channel), Social media and internet (writing a column for the Suicide Girls website) and many many more. Actually the complete Warren Ellis biography is so long that even if we wanted to we couldn't list it all in one page…

It seams that in the past few years Ellis is also very interested in the social media areas and he's a member of quite a lot of social networks such as MySpace, Facebook, Last.fm, Flickr and Ning, as well as his own blog diary and many more. Therefore 8hands can fit exactly to Ellis's needs.
In his own words:
"8hands is a desktop app that monitors multiple social networks for you. I have mine watching MySpace, Flickr and Facebook Simultaneously, reporting new events and messages in real time. Could be massively useful in the long term. At least for me."
8hands is here for users with more than one profile; it will save you the time and effort and help you to monitor all your different locations from one single point.
Hopefully, Ellis will like 8hands as much as we like his work :-)
As always, we would love to hear your personal experience with 8hands, please feel free to send us your feedback to:

Or use one of our forums.
Cheers!
Will 8hands be the leading app in managing your online identities?
The new 8hands version has received a lot of great reviews around the blogosphere. We told you a couple of days ago that Mashable wrote about us, but that was just the start - Erik Willumsgaard gave us a compliment, saying 8hands is more advanced than web 2.0, and is web 2.1! Selenography from the great technology blog [geek is my name] was also very sweet to us.
We thank all of you guys for the kind words, and we will keep making 8hands better, so you'll never stop loving us. As for now, we will leave you with a short summary of selenography's post. Have a great day!
"...While there are some sites (and even some surprisingly good Facebook Apps) which provide nice comprehensive lists of sites that allow you to have an online identity, they often lack RSS capabilities. So, they’re nice if you want people to find your profile there and see where else in the vast internet ether you also exist, but it’s not good for you, the user, who still has to log on to fifty zillion sites to check messages or see if anyone’s left you a comment.
In my mind, this program seems to have all of the building blocks to allow it to become the leading app in managing online identities—mainly because it does what a social aggregator should do. That is, it alerts you when someone has posted a comment about you or sent you a message. It also works like an instant messenger and lets you communicate with your friends who also have 8hands…"
Mashable are showing us some love. Again.
Mashable.com, one of the biggest & most important web 2.0 blogs out there, wrote about our new version and said that 8hands' new tweaks "improve its overall service and make it more useful as a profile aggregating and media-sharing tool".
Of course, this isn't the first time Mashable wrote about us. Back in April, Mashable's Kristen Nicole wrote a post about us, saying "I really like the 8hands concept, layout and design", among other kind words.
Thanks Mashable. We love you too, and we can't wait to show you all the little surprises and huge add-ons we've got up our sleeves!
